Simplicity and elegance in Oregon wine country.
This home-based tasting room for Open Claim Vineyards celebrates the agrarian heritage of the property and draws architectural inspiration from the iconic barns of Oregon.
In designing the space, Emerick Architects say “The owners, Brett and Marnie Wall, felt the most intimate exposure to their wine would come if people were invited into their home. Exposed timber trusses frame a 1,000 square foot tasting room that incorporates a wood-burning fireplace and plastered chimney. The materials used throughout the project emulate those of nature, giving the home a timeless and cozy character.”
Through rain, snow and seasons, this project came beautifully to life. The warm and inviting Tasting Room is now open for private tasting experiences. Expansive glass doors extend the space onto the patio, allowing guests to explore the beautiful wines of Open Claim Vineyards while soaking in the views.
