The Criteser home is a mid century masterpiece, originally designed by notable Portland architect Walter Gordon. The family loved the mid century style, but wanted to open and brighten the space. They hired Emerick Architects to re-imagine the space, and Right Angle Construction for the remodel.

A Historic Portland Home – Now Their Own
At first glance it is obvious the Evans house is a special older Portland home worth preserving. The 1915 Dutch Colonial Revival is on the National Registry of historic homes, nestled on a unique triangle lot perched along the Alameda Ridge.
The home is historically known as the Oliver and Margaret Jeffrey House, but for the Evans family, it was time to truly make it their home.
