At first glance it is obvious the Evans house is a special older Portland home worth preserving. The 1915 Dutch Colonial Revival is on the National Registry of historic homes, nestled on a unique triangle lot perched along the Alameda Ridge.
When Karla and her husband Maurice decided to update their house to be more functional, they wanted to ensure they didn’t lose the original feel of the older home that they so dearly loved, so they turned to Right Angle Construction for assistance. This remodel was designed by Emerick Architects.
Older homes can be a challenge, but we find the detailed work to be so very rewarding. That’s why we loved the challenge of the 1906 Sacks family home.
When we work on a project and spend as much time as we do in a family’s home, it’s only natural that we just might get to know our clients a little bit. That’s why we love it when we get to come back over the years to work on new projects with old friends…er… clients.
